Easter is full of bright and sweet flavors. From lemon curds to decadent pies and cakes, it’s hard to go wrong with a dessert this time of year. But if you’re really looking to capture the spirit of the season, restaurants across the country are whipping up some pretty special treats in honor of Easter.

Lemon Coconut Easter Egg

AT Atlantic Grill in New York, it’s a lemon-coconut entremet with layers of buttered anise shortbread, crispy coconut crumble, coconut mouse and milk lemon curd. The lemon yellow entremet is shaped like an Easter egg to celebrate the holiday and is decorated with a single pansy flower, a perfect spring garnish. “This Lemon Coconut Easter Egg is a sweet, lemony finish to our Easter menu at Atlantic Grill. Layers of anise butter shortbread, crunchy coconut crumble, coconut and lemon curd, topped with vanilla icing, coconut decor and lemon scent the English dots come together in a symphony of flavors and textures said Mary Saleeby, pastry chef at Atlantic Grill.

Carrot Cake Mousse Pie

AT Hotel Loews Miami Beach’s Preston’s Market, there will be a carrot cake mousse pie with golden chocolate bunnies available over Easter weekend. “Our Carrot Cake Mousse Pie celebrates the spirit of Easter with a classic carrot cake made in bite-size pieces and topped with a gold-dusted bunny. It’s a whimsical and festive springtime bite,” said Jason Morale, Executive Pastry Chef of Loews Miami Beach Hotel.

Spring tart with stone fruits and pistachios

AT Loews Miami Beach Hotel‘s Preston’s Market, a pistachio pie topped with caramelized stone fruit, edible flowers and gold leaf will be available over Easter weekend. “This tart is the perfect match between pistachio cake and fresh seasonal stone fruits, caramelized and decorated with edible flowers and gold leaf. Beautiful to look at and a delicious bite,” said Jason Morale, Executive Pastry Chef of Loews Miami Beach Hotel.

Eggs 2 Ways

Based in Denver High Point Creamery has a fun Easter kit and a unique flavor of ice cream called Eggs 2 Ways, made with dried egg yolk, shaved into lemon buttermilk ice cream with the egg whites that are made into a meringue. Easter Cutting Kits include High Point’s favorite ice cream toppings (whipped cream, marshmallows, rainbow sprinkles, toasted pecans, cherries, and homemade fudge and caramel sauces) plus classic Easter treats like Peeps/jelly beans.

Easter cookie nests

AT Eatzi Market and Bakery, which has multiple locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas Metroplex, is a trio of homemade chocolate chip cookie “nests” filled with chocolate ganache and topped with sprinkles and candy eggs , making it the perfect springtime treat for all ages. “Our Easter cookie nests take our delicious chocolate chip cookies to the next level. Along with the chocolate ganache filling and Easter candies, they double as a centerpiece and a delicious dessert,” said Jim Dunleavy , catering manager.

Lemon meringue pie

AT One Eleven Cafe in Cathedral City, California, it’s lemon meringue pie topped with flambéed French meringue and blood orange puree, topped with candied orange peel. “Nothing tops a perfect Easter meal like a springtime favorite – lemon curd. The sweet flavor profile and bright colors make it the perfect holiday dessert,” says Executive Chef Jonathan Weiner.

Easter Eggs with Rice Krispies

AT Solstice in Irvine, California, there are adorable handmade Rice Krispie Easter eggs. Crispy, crunchy and loaded with butter and melted marshmallow, these Easter-inspired sweet treats offer a simple nod to a childhood favorite with an Easter-inspired twist. “We’ve reinvented the classic Rice Krispie candy to create a colorful Easter egg-shaped dessert. Fruity Pebbles’ crisp splashes of color bring the bright, vibrant colors of spring,” said chef Demetrio Zavala.

AT Osteria Morini in Bernardsville, New Jersey, executive chef Bill Dorrler is offering a special Easter dessert this year. “Our Torta is an orange olive oil cake with yogurt sabayon, a strawberry and raspberry Lambrusco sauce and roasted pistachios. It’s very spring color wise!”
