My wedding cake was a complete disaster

FOR all bride and groom, their wedding should be a day to remember.

After all, couples spend thousands of dollars on everything from decor to food to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible.

But a woman, who comes from the United States, took ICT Tac and joked that her big day was memorable for all the wrong reasons.

In a short clip posted to social media, Sara shared a snapshot of an impressive three-tier donut-inspired wedding cake she found online as inspiration for herself.

However, in the next snap, she revealed the very different cake she received on the big day, which was completely flat, unappetizing and looked nothing like the photo.

Alongside the video, she wrote, “Also was an hour and a half late and yes I got a full refund lol.”

In one second clipSara explained the story behind the cake and said, “She was supposed to be there at 3:30 p.m., my ceremony was at 4 p.m. and then everyone was at the reception at 4:30 p.m.

So the cake was supposed to be on stage, so if she showed up when she was supposed to, she would have had an hour to set the cake up – but that’s not what happened.”

She went on to explain that at 3:30 p.m., her coordinator started calling the pastry chef every 5 minutes to ask where she was, but she wouldn’t answer her phone because she “knew she was so late. “.

“What happened was that at 5 p.m. everyone was seated and had eaten half their dinner, and all of a sudden she came in,” she continued.

“She was so late that my bridesmaids planned to go to Walmart and have a cheesecake cut because we had these little jars to put money in to see who smeared their face with it. the cake.”

Sarah noted how the cake lady showed up in Crocs and comfy pants and tried to fix the cake in front of her wedding guests.

“Turns out the three-tier thing she had was broken, she had the wrong kind of donuts, and she was so late…”

“Luckily the venue had a tray and my bridesmaid and sister came out and baked this cupcake that looks like everything we had. It was a mess.”

And it didn’t take long before social media users took to the comments section.

“WhaaaaaaaaaaTtttt?!?!?” wrote one, while a second joked, “She was late because she had to stop at Krispy Kreme on the way.”

A third joked: “A stack of tortillas surrounded by a few bagels would have made me happier. I would have been livid.”

Another noted how the inspiration photo was ‘not that hard’, to which Sara replied: ‘Like my family certainly could have done that but I paid £180 to have someone else would, so we didn’t have to worry about it – like it was easy lol.”

Another added: “She literally had to bake a white cake. The rest was just shopping – an acrylic cupcake stand, Krispy Kreme donuts and herbs and flowers.”

In response, Sara commented, “Didn’t we?!? We even had the greenery there for her! But she just dropped things and ran away when she realized her stand was broken. “
